Webinar: Becoming a Polished Professional: Part One

Young adults, and especially youth from foster care, experience many transitions (e.g. out of care, into college, into the work force, marriage, moving, etc.).

Even positive transitions can be stressful and difficult to cope with. Transitions can often become triggers for struggles in other areas of life (such as relationships, mental health, substance abuse, etc.). This is why it's important to be aware of and utilize the resources that are available to make these transitions easier which is what this webinar will discuss.

Specifically, this webinar will focus on how students can be most successful in the school to career transition. Part one of "Resources to Support the School to Career Transition" will discuss resume and cover letter building and will be presented by Lorraine McKnight, M.A., L.P.C.-S, Senior Career Coach at the University Advising & Career Development Center at Eastern Michigan University.
