Glen Oaks Community College is a Fostering Success Michigan (FSM) Designated Campus Champion and has staff available to support students with experience in foster care. Staff from Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration and Records, Advising and Counseling, TRIO Student Support Services, Disability Support Services, and Housing and Residential Life work together to connect students to resources on campus and in the community.

All new students are assigned a Faculty or Staff Mentor to serve as a point of contact for any questions, issues, or needs that may arise. Additionally, students are assigned a specific academic advisor that works with them from orientation to graduation to ensure students stay on track to degree completion. For those wanting an on-campus, residential experience, Glen Oaks offers two- and four-bedroom suites in a 106 bed facility with events and programming to give students a unique  experience at a small, rural community college. Glen Oaks offers certificates and associate degrees designed to enter the workforce or to transfer to a four-year college or university.
