St. Clair County Community College is a FSM Designated Campus Champion and offers on campus support for youth with experience in foster care. At SC4, resources for students with experience in foster care are the result of a team effort! The staff includes professionals from Financial Aid, Admissions, Academic Success and Achievement, Housing, and Disability Resources. They offer certificate programs, Associate Degrees and opportunities to complete a Bachelor’s Degree with one of their university partners. SC4 is a rare community college as it offers housing options for students, including "over-the-break" housing. SC4 also partners with a variety of service agencies in the Port Huron area.
Fostering Success Michigan is a program of Educate Tomorrow that aims to increase access and success in higher education and post-college careers for youth with experience in foster care. Learn how you can contribute to building a holistic network that insulates (i.e., strengthens protective factors and reduces risks) the education to career "pipeline."
